Jerzy Treutler - Born in Poland in 1931 Treutler graduated from the Warsaw Fine Art Academy in 1955 specialising as a poster designer for films, exhibitions, sporting events and the Polish State Circus. He is a key figure in Polish graphic design and in 1977 received the title of Graphic Expert from the Polish Ministry of Culture.

Known mainly for his Art Deco ceramic designs for Wedgwood, this rare example of a cocktail shaker in silver plate by Keith Murray is a fine example of the few designs he created for Mappin & Webb. The shaker is complete with internal strainer.
